Stereoblind, self portrait.

Stereoblindness is when you don't see the world in 3D. I've had a lazy eye my whole life, so I've gotten used to a two-dimensional world.

A few weeks ago, I woke up with a blurry spot in the centre of my strong eye, so I wasn’t able to read or work. I had to use a patch to force my lazy eye to work again and have multiple eye injections.

As a photographer, it’s scary to not have your eyes working. My lazy eye will be fixed this year, and I’ll hopefully, for the first time in my life, see in 3D.

I decided to use some photographs from my archive to visualize the way I see the world: distorted faces, wobbly text, and arcs of light that flare up in the corner of my eyes.
